
Gulab Jamun Recipe
Ingredients:
- For the Jamuns:
- 1 cup khoya (mawa)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1-2 tablespoons milk (zaroorat ke hisaab se)
- For Syrup:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2-3 green cardamom (ilaichi), crushed
- 1 teaspoon rose water (gulab jal)
- A few strands of saffron (optional)
- For Frying:
- Ghee or oil (as required) Procedure:
- Syrup Tayaar Karna:
- Ek pan mein 1 cup paani aur 1 cup cheeni daal kar use ubalna shuru karein.
- Jab cheeni completely dissolve ho jaye, tab crushed ilaichi aur rose water daal dein. Ubalne ke baad fire se hata lein aur thoda thanda hone de.
- Dough Banana:
- Ek bowl mein khoya, maida, aur baking powder daal kar achhe se mix karein.
- Agar zaroorat ho toh thoda sa doodh daal kar soft dough bana lein. Dhyan rahe, dough zyada hard na ho.
- Jamuns Banana:
- Apne haath ko thoda sa ghee laga kar chhote chhote balls banayein. Dhyan rakhein ki balls mein koi cracks nahi hone chahiye.
- Fry Karna:
- Ek kadhai mein ghee ya oil garam karein. Jab ghee garam ho jaye, tab ismein jamuns daal kar low flame par fry karein.
- Jamuns ko golden brown hone tak fry karein.
- Syrup Mein Daalna:
- Jab jamuns fry ho jayein, tab unhe syrup mein daal dein. Kuch ghante ya raat bhar jamuns ko syrup mein soak hone dein taaki woh syrup ko ache se absorb kar lein.
- Serve Karna:
- Aapki Gulab Jamun tayar hai! Inhe warm ya room temperature par serve karein. Aap chaho toh inhe khoya ya ice cream ke saath bhi enjoy kar sakte hain. Tips:
- Jamuns ko fry karte waqt dhyan rakhein ki flame medium ho, agar high flame par fry karenge toh woh bahar se jal jayenge aur andar se nahi pakenge.
- Gulab Jamun ko syrup mein thoda time dene se wo aur bhi soft aur delicious ho jayenge.
